Chocolate Cup of Heaven

Chocolate Heaven …..

Decadent. Rich. Luxurious. Chocolate is all of that and more so having a chocolate theme for your wedding or event would be truly memorable! Ideas for incorporating chocolate into the many aspects of your celebration are endless, and some might truly surprise you!

When using chocolate as your guide, think beyond just food. Think attire, décor, music, floral and more. If you choose to use chocolate on a small or grand scale, here are some ideas to inspire you:

Colors: While many will choose standard black, instead consider the rich tone of chocolate brown as the anchor color for your wedding or event. The choice will certainly add depth and warmth. Chocolate can compliment almost any color of the rainbow so think about the combining it with one of the following when choosing linens, china, glassware and other essentials of your wedding:

  • Robin’s egg blue and silver
  • Pale pink and white
  • Lime and/or moss green
  • Ivory and gold
  • Deep red
  • Eggplant and copper
  • Lavender
  • Black and white
  • Cranberry, burnt orange, and gold
  • Teal and silver

Attire: Surround yourself in chocolate! As a bride, perhaps you might wear a light mocha-toned gown and/or a chocolate brown sash. Have your bridesmaids in deep chocolate brown dresses and the groomsmen in tan suits or the new chocolate tux. Your floral accents will just jump off of the rich, brown foundation!

Floral: You would be the true chocoholic when incorporating chocolate cosmos into your floral designs! Not only are they beautiful and a deep brown tone, they really do smell like chocolate! Splashes of this flower look great in arrangements and keep you comforted throughout the day. Brown hydrangeas, pinecones, nuts, fall leaves and Swaroski crystals would all make lovely additions.

Food: The sky’s the limit when incorporating chocolate into your menu; chocolate fondue (have three - dark, milk and white!), chocolate favors, chocolate cake & frosting, chocolate pasta, chocolate martinis, both regular and white hot chocolate, etc. Work with your preferred caterer to create a chocolate feast!
